Arson at Inglewood

Arson Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surround a house fire that occurred on Tenth Avenue in Inglewood Between 10.00pm Thursday night, 31 December 2020, and 7.30am yesterday morning, Friday 1 January 2021.
The owner of the house entered the property around 7.30am and noticed a large amount of smoke inside the house. Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were called and attended, however the fire self-extinguished prior to their arrival. Police attended and an examination of the scene revealed that entry had been made into the house by forcing a window.
The fire caused fire damage and extensive smoke damage to the home and the damage bill is estimated to be around $50,000.
Arson Squad detectives urge anyone who saw suspicious activity and those with dash-cam or CCTV vision from the Inglewood area, or information regarding the burglary and/or the fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. People providing information to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous if they wish.
Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
