Campbelltown is continuing to support the message of ending violence against women with the installation of new artworks in the city centre to raise awareness about the need to eliminate domestic violence and violence towards women.
The Say No to Domestic Violence Murals are located on the side of the Australia Post building at Coogan Place and within the Milgate Arcade on Queen Street.
They were created by artists Jess Fesic, Renee Allara, Brendalee Coan from the Campbelltown Arts Centre's Little Orange Studio and designer Giselle Stanborough.
Mayor George Brticevic said the mural enforced the message that domestic violence is not ok in any circumstance.
"It's important that as a community, we continue to acknowledge that domestic violence is a responsibility for everyone and we must work together to eliminate it," Cr Brticevic said.
"These artworks send a powerful message that it is up to all of us to speak out against domestic violence and let those who may be experiencing it know that we are all there to support them," he said.
The project is funded by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science through the Federal Government's Stronger Communities Program.
