Ellenbrook families enjoyed an afternoon of fun and entertainment at Ellenbrook Sports Hub for Channel 9's Barbecue in the Burbs on Thursday February 20, 2020.
Residents of all ages enjoyed a free sausage sizzle, meet and greet with the Channel 9 News and 6PR teams, and tried their hand at junior netball, junior futsal and bubble soccer to name a few.
Local resident Ella Willcox (14) was interviewed by Channel 9 Weather Presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs about her involvement with Ellenbrook Mile as youth leader during the 4pm live weather cross.
The City of Swan Mayor Kevin Bailey had an on-air chat to 6PR's Oliver Petterson about up-and-coming developments for the local area, including the new Ellenbrook Leisure Centre.
The next event at Ellenbrook Sports Hub is Film on the Fields on March 7, run by Ellenbrook Mile and supported by the City of Swan.
