CCTV released after serious assault in Delacombe

Ballarat police have released CCTV footage with the hope to identify a man following a serious assault in Delacombe last month.

Investigators have been told a 54-year-old man was driving a white utility south along Wiltshire Lane when a vehicle pulled out in front of him about 6.35pm on Thursday, 13 May.

The Wendouree man overtook the vehicle, believed to be a 2010 silver Ford Falcon, before the unknown driver followed him into a carpark on Glenelg Highway.

Both men became involved in a verbal altercation before the unknown man struck the victim several times to the upper body, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.

The offender got back in his vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction, leaving the victim with serious head, facial and hand injuries.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of a white Ford Falcon sedan and a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged between 20 and 25 years, with an athletic build, brown hair and approximately 193cm tall.

He was wearing a black long-sleeve jumper, black shorts and was barefoot.
