To manage the situation, a range of measures are being implemented to ease pressure and improve patient flow. These measures will continue to be reviewed and adapted to alleviate the situation.

Visit the Palmerston Urgent Care Clinic and the new Darwin Urgent Care Clinic for same-day, non-life-threatening medical issues that can't wait for a regular doctor's appointment.

Use Urgent Care for:

· Potential minor fractures, sprains, or sports injuries

· Cuts that require stitches or small burns

· Mild asthma flare-ups or respiratory illnesses

· Minor eye, ear, or urinary tract infections (UTIs)

The Palmerston Urgent Care Clinic is located at 3 Gurd Street, Farrar. The Darwin Urgent Care Clinic is located at 4/8 Osgood Drive, Eaton.

Both clinics are open from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week. Walk-in care, no appointments necessary and fully bulk-billed.

If you are experiencing a health emergency, call Triple Zero (000) and ask for an ambulance.

Go to the Emergency Department for:

· Chest pain or breathing difficulties

· Unconsciousness, seizures, or paralysis

· Severe bleeding or major trauma

· Severe allergic reactions or suspected poisoning
