Half-price sharepacks, bonus Flybuys points and spooky new treats help customers celebrate this Halloween

Australians are gearing up for a frightfully big Halloween, with 23 million bags of lollies expected to be snapped up during Coles biggest confectionery sales week of the year, with great value across treats, party food and pumpkins to help customers celebrate for less this October.

With a focus on helping customers fill Halloween lolly bowls for less, confectionery sharepacks from brands such as Cadbury, Kinder and Mars will be half price until 2 November[1], with an average saving of $3.75.

Customers shopping online can save $10 when they spend $40 on selected trick-or-treat confectionery online, with the option to stack both offers on eligible products to save even more[2].

Flybuys members can also earn 10x points on participating Halloween confectionery and sharepacks until 3 November [3].

Coles Senior Category Manager for Confectionery, Josh Tunbridge said Halloween falling on a Saturday gave families even more reason to make a night of it, with confectionery sales set to increase by almost 10% compared to last year.

"Halloween looks different for every family, whether it's getting dressed up and trick-or-treating with the kids, having friends over or simply getting the lolly bowl ready for your neighbours," Josh said.

"We want to make it easy for families to enjoy Halloween, whatever their plans or budget, with plenty of choice on offer, from half-price sharepacks and easy party food to pumpkins and spooky decorations and costumes.

"More and more of our customers are getting into the spooky spirit, with confectionery sales on Halloween around 60% higher than a typical day."

Sharepacks are a Halloween staple, with around one in three sold across the year bought during the Halloween period. Last year's favourites were Kinder Chocolate 16 Treat sharepack (200g), Cadbury Caramello Koala sharepack(180g) and Mars Fun Size sharepack (192g).

For the first time, Coles customers can also add seven spooky M&S treats to the lolly bowl, including M&S Halloween Percy Pig Petrifying Party (150g) and M&S Halloween Colin The Caterpillar Spooky Sours (170g) both down to $4 each.

For families putting on a spooky spread, Coles RSPCA Approved Chicken Ghoulish Ghost (400g) or Spooky Spider Nuggets (400g) and Scary Vampire Wings (1kg) are available two for $15 or $8 each.

Customers can also carve out some Halloween fun with Australian Jack O Lantern Pumpkins at $3.70 per kilo and Australian Mini Jack Pumpkins at $3.20 each.

Customers can shop the Halloween range in-store and online at Coles.
