Drugs, cash and weapon seized, Blacks Beach

Police have charged a 34-year-old woman with multiple offences after allegedly seizing drugs, cash, a handgun and other items from a residence in Blacks Beach yesterday (May 4).

Officers executed a search of a Warilla View residence around midday, where they allegedly seized a quantity of methylamphetamine and LSD along with drug utensils.

Approximately $15,000 cash was also allegedly located, along with a handgun, multiple rounds of ammunition and other allegedly stolen items including power tools and car registration plates.

The woman was charged, denied police bail and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court today on three counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, authority required to possess explosives, possess property suspected of having been used in a drug offence, possess utensils and supplying dangerous drugs.

A 21-year-old woman was also charged with one count of possessing dangerous drugs and is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on May 26.
