Europa Institute organizes online case law dinner on German PSPP-judgment

Earlier this month, the Europa Institute organized an internal discussion on the German PSPP-judgment. For the first time, the German Constitutional Court declared acts of EU institutions as manifestly excessive and thus as ultra vires acts under German constitutional law. During an online debate, various colleagues shared their views on this seminal judgment based on their respective field of expertise.

These brief presentations were concluded by a fruitful and stimulating discussion on the implications of this decision for EU law, German constitutional law but also the future of the ECB's monetary programmes and the currently debated EU recovery plans. The Europa Institute regularly organizes case law dinners, during which recent and important EU-related case law is discussed. Given the current circumstances, this latest case law dinner edition was organized in an online format.
