Federation Council and the Federation Interagency Committee is calling for Expressions of Interest from service providers operating in the Federation Council local government area and further afield to join us at the inaugural Federation Community Expo.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Patrick Bourke said the Community Services Expo will be a one day event, scheduled on Thursday 10 November, 3pm – 6pm at Bangerang, Park Corowa.
"This event is being organised by the Federation Interagency Committee and is designed to connect people with their local community and a great opportunity to promote who they are and what they do," he said.
"It will provide the opportunity for service providers, community groups, sporting clubs and not-for-profit organisations to showcase the range of services that they provide and meet face to face with community members. The Expo also provides a unique opportunity for residents of the Federation Council Local Government Area (LGA) to discover the wide range of services and groups that make up our region.
We would like to invite service providers from all industry types to attend which could include but not limited to;
• Arts & Culture

• Community Groups, Organisations & Services

• Crisis & Emergency Support

• Disability Services

• Education, Training & Employment

• Health & Wellbeing

• Sport, Leisure & Recreation

Stalls are free, we just ask groups to provide their own information, resources, and staff to answer questions and give advice about their services or community group. We are also seeking community groups to hold a fundraising BBQ and /or drinks stall along with applications to perform or play music.
Why not make your stall stand out and provide an activity at your stall to ensure a vibrant, interactive atmosphere. You tell us what you want to do!
Tracey Barkley, from Federation Interagency and Local Area Coordinator Murrumbidgee at Intereach said the Expo – which would be open to the public – was a new idea to bring all of the local community groups together.
"It is a great platform for local community organisations to share information about their activities and learn about the work of other groups within the community," Tracey said.
"We also hope the event will boost memberships for our community, sporting and not-for-profit groups, and help the vulnerable engage with the broader community."
The Federation Interagency Committee is made up of local services that are either located in our area or visit on a regular basis.
If you are interested in holding a stall please complete the online form available from Council's website
