Further easing of COVID-19 restrictions

Following the further easing of state-wide COVID-19 restrictions Council is pleased to announce the further staged re-opening of Council facilities as of Monday 22 June.

Nillumbik Mayor Karen Egan said Council's priority continues to be the health and safety of the community and staff, and the appropriate safety measures have been put in place.

"As the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to develop, we will be guided by the advice of the appropriate authorities," Cr Egan said.

"We appreciate your patience as we work through these complex issues."

Following the reopening of the pool earlier this month, the Eltham Leisure Centre will reopen to gym users and provide further increased access to pools at 6am on Monday 22 June.

At this stage, aqua and group fitness classes are planned to return on Monday 29 June.

Measures put in place by manager Aligned Leisure include:

Gym:

- 60-minute pre-booked gym sessions

- Limit of 20 people per session

- Increased spacing of equipment to support social distancing.
