"Tenants in Tasmania are reporting higher satisfaction than the national average across a range of key measures, particularly when it comes to the comfort and energy efficiency of their homes," Minister Vincent said.
"These results reflect our Government's focus on delivering on-the-ground benefits via our ongoing investment in energy efficiency upgrades.
"Over the past two years, more than 1,600 social housing properties across the state have received energy efficiency upgrades under the Social Housing Energy Performance Initiative, making homes easier to heat and cool, and more affordable to live in.
"Upgrades delivered through the program include heat pump hot water systems, improved insulation, draught sealing, energy-efficient lighting and window glazing - practical improvements that enhance comfort while helping to reduce energy costs."
