Kiama Council
IGNITE Kiama Winter Festival has been cancelled as severe weather brings risky conditions.
The severe weather warning in place predicts wind gusts of up to 90 km/h, meaning we could not safely stage activities such as the fireworks display.
This decision was made in the interest of the safety of the 5,000 people expected to attend today’s event.
It was made after consulting the Bureau of Meteorology, NSW Police and our fireworks operator.
