Man in court after cocaine, cash seized at Marsfield

A man has been charged following investigations into suspected drug activity at a unit complex at Marsfield in recent weeks.

Detectives from Ryde Police Area Command commenced an investigation into alleged drug possession and supply from a Crimea Road unit block.

About 10.30am yesterday (Thursday 4 June 2020), officers executed a search warrant in the garage of the complex where they seized 585g of cocaine and a money counting machine.

A second search warrant was executed at a unit on Busaco Road, Marsfield, where officers found $12,500 in cash, $3237 in US currency, and an electronic stun device.

A 48-year-old man was arrested on Crimea Road and taken to Ryde Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug, and deal with the proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and will appear in Ryde Local Court today (Friday 5 June 2020).
