MedH's Mikael Rydén Wins Camillo Golgi Prize

Congratulations to Mikael Rydén, the first Swede to be awarded the Camillo Golgi Prize.

In 2025, the prize will be awarded for the fortieth time and it is awarded to Mikael Rydén at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge .

"There are few things more rewarding than being recognized by one's peers. It is a particular honor to receive the Camillo Golgi Prize - especially as the first Swedish researcher to do so. I look forward to presenting my research in Vienna this September." Says Mikael Rydén.

Mikael, together with Niklas Mejhert, leads a research group that studies how white adipose tissue is affected in common diseases such as obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, blood lipid disorders and cardiovascular disease.
