Napier Police are investigating the serious assaults of an elderly woman and her son at the woman's home in Napier and are seeking information from the public.
Police were notified of the assaults which occurred between around 7.00 and 8.00 this morning.
The woman and her son were taken to hospital and are both in a serious but stable condition.
Police would like to hear from residents and anyone else who was in the general area of Nelson Park and Kennedy Road prior to and around this time, and may have noticed anything untoward.
