NASA Invites Media to Briefing on Research Launching to Space Station

NASA will host a media teleconference at 1 p.m. EST Tuesday, Dec. 14, to discuss science investigations launching on the next SpaceX commercial resupply flight to theInternational Space Station.

Experiments aboard the launch include investigations into bioprinting, crystallization of monoclonal antibodies processing alloys, and laundering clothes in space. Others will study changes in immune function and plant gene expression in microgravity. The resupply mission will also bring student citizen science projects to the station.

SpaceX is targeting 5:06 a.m. EST on Tuesday, Dec. 21, for the launch of its Dragon spacecraft on a Falcon 9 rocket fromLaunch Complex 39A at NASAs Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The flight will be SpaceXs 24thCommercial Resupply Servicesmission to the orbiting laboratory.
