Obesity has sometimes been called the silent epidemic, exposing millions of adults and children around the world to increased risks of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and coronary heart disease. As countries continue to grapple with rising rates of obesity, a first-of-its-kind NUS Business School study of more than 500 social ventures has shed light on the methods used by social entrepreneurs to tackle this complex issue.
