A man will front court this morning after he allegedly broke into a warehouse at Queenstown overnight.
Just before 11pm on Sunday 20 December, Western District patrols were called to a business premises on Port Road. Upon arrival the patrol saw a man carrying a backpack walking away from the address. The patrol spoke with the male and found him in possession of a thermostat which was labelled with the same name of the premises from where the alarm was coming from.
A search of the man's backpack also uncovered a crowbar, several screwdrivers and a pair of wire cutters.
A check on the warehouse where the alarm had been activated revealed two doors had been damaged and the premises had been ransacked.
Police enquires then revealed the male suspect was also wanted for three break-ins that occurred on business premises the day before on Grange Road at Findon.
The 41-year-old man from Osborne was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass and theft from overnight at Queenstown plus an additional three counts of serious criminal trespass from the weekend at Findon.
The arrested man has been refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today
