Police charge woman after domestic-related stabbing - Bossley Park

A woman will appear in court today charged after a man was allegedly stabbed at Bossley Park last night.

About 8.30pm (Monday 22 June 2020), a 28-year-old man attended a home on Castlereagh Street, Bossley Park and spoke to a woman, known to him.

During an argument, it is alleged the woman produced a knife and stabbed him.

The man sustained wounds to his shoulder, back, and buttocks before attempting to drive himself to hospital; however, crashed into a parked car on the street.

A witness came to the man's aid and drove him to Fairfield Hospital before he was transferred to Liverpool Hospital and underwent surgery. He remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police were notified and officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command commenced an investigation.

A 24-year-old woman was later arrested after attending Fairfield Hospital.

She was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).

The woman has been refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Tuesday 23 June 2020).
