Police investigate after man shot in leg - Greenfield Park

An investigation has commenced after a man was assaulted and shot in the leg in Sydney's west overnight.

Just before 10.30pm (Wednesday 24 June 2020), emergency services were called to Devenish Street, Greenfield Park, after reports a man had been injured.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and a found an 18-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to his thigh.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition, awaiting surgery.

A crime scene was established which has been be forensically examined.

The incident is now being investigated by detectives, who are appealing for anyone with information to contact Fairfield Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
