Police investigate Keilor East aggravated home invasion

Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives are appealing for public assistance after a vehicle and more than $40,000 worth of property was stolen during an aggravated home invasion in Keilor East last year.

It is believed an unknown man used a sledgehammer to force entry to the Nicola Court property about 3.25am on Friday 18 December while the two victims were asleep inside.

The man was accompanied by two other men who were armed with a tomahawk and a semi-automatic firearm.

Once inside the property the men assaulted a 44-year-old man.

They then stole more than $40,000 worth of property along with the victim's grey Audi sedan, bearing registration AWH013, before driving away.

The victim's vehicle was last seen travelling in convoy with a white Dodge station wagon, believed to have been stolen in a separate incident.

Police have released CCTV footage of three men who they believe could assist with their investigation.

The first male was African in appearance, wearing a white face covering, navy Kathmandu hooded jacket and black Adidas pants with white stripes.

The second male was wearing a black and white Everest long sleeve top and black Adidas pants with white stripes.

The third male was wearing a puffer jacket.

Police have also released images of the victim's grey Audi sedan and a similar white Dodge station wagon.

Anyone who recognises the men or with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report via www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
