Police make arrest after fatal crash in Brigadoon

Detectives from Major Crash Investigations have charged a 27-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a crash that occurred in Brigadoon on Friday, 13 November 2020.

It is alleged about 11.40pm, a blue Holden Commodore was travelling west on Lancewood Avenue when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Commodore left the road and rolled multiple times before coming to rest in a paddock.

The rear passenger, a 19-year-old woman was ejected from the vehicle and received critical injuries. She was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital where she later died.

A 31-year-old man who was the front passenger was also conveyed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Commodore, a 27-year-old man from Maddington has been charged with:-

• Manslaughter; and

• Acts or Omissions Causing Bodily Harm or Danger.

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on 22 January 2021.
