Police responding to serious motorcycle crash at Merrimac

Police are investigating a serious, single vehicle motorcycle crash in Merrimac this afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate, around 2.55pm a 29-year-old man from Worongary was riding a motorcycle westbound on Gooding Drive when it lost control.

The man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and is appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to contact police.
