Police seek information after teen stabbed at Dubbo

Police are appealing for information from the public after a teenager was found stabbed in the state's mid-west at the weekend.

About 8pm on Saturday 15 May 2021, emergency services were called to a showground on Fitzroy St, Dubbo, after reports of an altercation between a group of men.

Upon arrival, officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District found a 17-year-old with a stab wound to his stomach.

The rest of the group left the area before police arrived.

The injured man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Dubbo Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following a search of the area, a number of young people were spoken to.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone that may have been in the area or witnessed the incident to contact Dubbo Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
