Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives are seeking witnesses to an attempted aggravated burglary in Brookfield yesterday, Victoria Police say.
It is believed three men attended at the Hungerford Drive house just after 6am and attempted to gain entry via the front door.
The female occupant retreated from the home and the trio attempted to gain entry to the rear of the house.
It’s believed the three offenders fled the scene on small motorbikes that they had parked on the front lawn.
The 69-year-old victim was not injured and nothing was stolen during the incident.
The men are described as wearing black/dark coats with hoods and balaclavas over their faces.
