A kitten has had a lucky escape thanks to CFA crews after getting stuck in a metal pillar last night.
The kitten, thought to be a stray, was heard meowing from in the pillar outside a house.
Kalkallo Fire Brigade attended the scene and removed the side of the pillar with a grinder, working to free the kitten.
The kitten was then taken to the vet by the owner of the house, who will look after it until it finds a fur-ever home.
