This year, the Villum Foundation has selected 13 projects, each receiving more than DKK 4 million. All projects are data-driven, but the partner depends entirely on the nature of the problem to be addressed.
Villum Synergy grant recipients
- Associate Professor Alexander Bagger, DTU Physics, receives, in collaboration with Line Clemmensen, Professor at Department of Mathematics, University of Copenhagen, DKK 4.5 million for the project 'Catalysis Informatics'.
- Senior Researcher Carlos Acevedo-Rocha, DTU Biosustain, receives, in collaboration with Professor Søren Hauberg, DTU Compute, DKK 4.5 million for the project 'Orienteering: Constructing protein fitness landscapes via epistasis-aware machine learning methods'.
- Associate Professor Sanshui Xiao, DTU Electro, receives, in collaboration with Zheng-Hua Tan, Professor at Department of Electronic Systems, Aalborg University, DKK 4.5 million for the project 'Leveraging Machine Learning for Developing On-Chip Quantum Sources with 2D Materials Integration'.
- Associate Professor Christian Majenz, DTU Compute, receives, in collaboration with Associate Professor Jonatan Bohr Brask, DTU Physics, DKK 4.5 million for the project 'SEQReT – Symmetry-Enhanced Quantum Cryptography with Representation Theory'.
