Police are searching for a missing hiker in the Alpine region.At 1am today, a 43-year-old male, from Kalkite, near Jindabyne, went to Dead Horse Gap near Thredbo with the intention of walking to Ramshead Range. At 6am he contacted a friend to notify them that he was lost. Police from Monaro Local Area Command were notified and have deployed the Alpines Operations Unit assisted by Wespac Lifesaver Helicopter to assist in searching for the man, NSW Police say.
