Significant Drug Seizure - Dianella

Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged three men in relation to the recent seizure of approximately 10kg of Methylamphetamine from a residence in Dianella.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the Dianella residence last week as part of an ongoing investigation into a suspected drug syndicate responsible for the importation and distribution of Methylamphetamine into Western Australia. The residence was searched and it will be alleged 10.2kg of Methylamphetamine was located.
The investigation into the origin and intended destination of the drugs continued and three men were arrested between Saturday 10 October 2020 and Monday 12 October 2020. The arrested men included a 38-year-old man from Bedford, and two 44-year-old men from Dianella and North Perth.
Freezing notices have been issued on cash and other assets worth approximately $1 million in total. This includes approximately $300,000 cash seized from a residence in Morley.
All three men have been charged with several offences including 'Possessed a trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply it to another' in relation to the 10.2kg seizure.
The 38-year-old man was refused bail and first appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Sunday 11 October 2020. He is next due to appear in the same court on Tuesday 27 October 2020.
The two 44-year-old men were refused bail and appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court yesterday, Tuesday 13 October 2020.
Detective Superintendent Tony Longhorn from the Serious and Organised Crime Division said the recent seizures of cash and drugs will likely disrupt the activities of those responsible for importing and distributing illicit drugs into Western Australia.
"By focussing our efforts on the right people, and targeting those responsible for bringing large quantities of illicit drugs into our state, we can prevent the drugs from reaching the streets where it causes great harm to our community."
