Territory sisters Trudi and Kerri are gearing up for their first full dry season with Cheekies Party Bike - a fresh and uniquely Top End way to experience Darwin.
The electric-assisted bike takes up to 15 passengers on a scenic 1.5-to-2-hour tour from Cullen Bay through the city.
Cheekies backs local - sourcing craft beer, baked goods and treats from Territory businesses along the way.
The Finocchiaro CLP Government is backing local businesses and homegrown ideas that make the Territory a place people want to live, visit and invest in.
Twenty-five years in the making, Cheekies finally hit the road at the end of last year's dry season, and after powering through the wet season with Christmas parties and team building sessions, Territory sisters Trudi and Kerri, are just getting started.
This innovative business brings together the best of Darwin in one unforgettable experience - an electric-assisted multi-passenger bike where up to 15 people pedal together, enjoy refreshments and take in the city sights, all while soaking up the iconic Top End atmosphere. Departing from Cullen Bay, the 1.5 to 2 hour tour winds past Darwin's best-known landmarks, from the Esplanade to Mitchell St.
Cheekies is proudly local from start to finish and features craft beer from One Mile Brewery, baked goods from Bens Bakehouse and treats from Picnic at Cullen Bay, to keep passengers fuelled along the way.
Heading into their first full dry season, the sisters are taking a more strategic approach - using AI to map out key events, public holidays, and cruise ship schedules to make the most of Darwin's peak visitor period.
Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations Robyn Cahill said Cheekies was exactly the kind of homegrown business that makes Darwin a destination.
"It is great to see local businesses coming up with new ideas to re-energise the city and bring friends and family together for a fun and entertaining experience."
"A growing Territory means more opportunities for businesses like Cheekies - creative, locally owned and proudly putting Darwin on the map for visitors and Territorians alike."
