Step Up And Join Clean Up Australia Day Effort

Clean Up Australia Day is Sunday 3 March! Registrations are open for individuals, community groups, schools and local businesses to get involved.

Since the first Clean Up Australia Day in 1989, more than 21 million Australians have come together to care for and protect the local environment by picking up litter.

Last year saw more than a million participants join the clean-up across more than 17,000 sites nationwide. Plastic products made up over 80 per cent of collected waste in Victoria, while vaping materials are becoming increasingly common.

Residents can choose to register their own Clean Up Australia Day event on Sunday 3 March or join an existing event.

Businesses and schools have their own special clean up days on Tuesday 27 February and Friday 1 March respectively.

Visit www.cleanup.org.au to register or to join.

If you're unable to participate on the day, you may also choose to donate to Clean Up Australia with 100 per cent of funds going directly to empowering Australians to take action for the environment. Donations are also tax-deductible.
