Toowoomba Regional Council's essential services will continue to operate across the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
Council operations will be closed from 1pm on Thursday, December 24, 2020 and resume on Monday, January 4, 2021, however Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio said emergency requests would be answered.
"I want to assure the public that if anyone is in need of an essential service provided by Council during the Christmas break there will be someone to answer your query or attend to an emergency," Mayor Antonio said.
"To let our staff celebrate the season and spend time with family and friends, our Christmas and New Year closedown starts from 1pm Thursday, December 24. Staff will return on Monday, January 4, 2021.
"Christmas is a time for being with family and I encourage Council staff to enjoy their break."
