Rockingham Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Wellard last night, Friday 27 November 2020, during which a man was struck by a vehicle.
About 11:40pm the 19-year-old man from Wellard was on Appleby Street when he was struck by a vehicle – believed to be a Toyota Camry sedan. At this time it is believed the victim and the driver may be known to each other.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene without providing any assistance to the victim. Members of the public who heard the incident went to assist the man and St John Ambulance personnel attended the scene and took the injured man to Royal Perth Hospital, where he remains.
