Western Australia coronovirus update as at 14 March 2021

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 overnight.

The confirmed case – a man in his 30s – travelled to Perth from overseas. He is in hotel quarantine.

The State's total number of confirmed cases is 924.

WA Health is monitoring nine active cases of COVID-19 and 906 people have recovered from the virus in WA.

To date, 31 of WA's confirmed COVID-19 cases have been variant strains – 23 B.1.1.7 strain (UK) and 8 B.1.351 strain (South Africa).

Yesterday 317 people were swabbed at WA Health COVID clinics.

To date, 18,391 West Australians have received the COVID vaccine – 643 were vaccinated yesterday.
