Work beginning for Pint Pot Bridge replacement

Site preparations get underway this week for the replacement of Pint Pot Bridge, on Rockvale Road, as part of Council's Bridge Renewal Program.

The $561,000 project, half funded by Round 4 of Bridge Renewal Program and half by Council, will replace the ageing timber bridge with a concrete structure to improve traffic safety and remove the need for a load limit on the bridge.

Construction of a side track will begin during the last week of October and traffic will be diverted once the detour is in place.

The project is scheduled to be completed by February 2021.

Council's Bridge Renewal Program also includes the replacement of Dumaresq Creek Bridge on Cookes Road, which is expected to start in early 2021.

The program has identified a total of 32 timber bridges for replacement. To date, it has been funded through the Federal Government's Bridges Renewal Program and the NSW Government's Stronger Regions Fund.
