  • Youth Week WA 2027 will run from 16 to 23 April and is the largest annual celebration of young people in Western Australia

Youth Minister Hannah Beazley has appointed four impressive young Western Australians as the new 2027 Youth Week WA Ambassadors, where they will play a key role in shaping WA's largest celebration of and for young people aged 10 to 25.

Together, Grace Zeynali, Ryan Rawlinson, Reuben Brady, and Lei Yuen will represent the voices of young people in their communities, plan, and develop Youth Week WA activities, and promote the campaign across the State and in the media.

Grace Zeynali is an 18-year-old student studying a combined degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, and Commerce. She enjoys advocating for better public transport and building her startup which aims to close the gap between law and AI issues.

Ryan Rawlinson is a 19-year-old Politics, Philosophy and Economics and Geography student at The University of Western Australia. He is a trainee officer in the Royal Australian Navy and works part time as an electorate officer where he assists constituents with federal responsibilities, particularly those impacting young people. He is passionate about ensuring that young people are involved in decision-making, listened to and advocated for.

Reuben Brady is a 21-year-old civil engineering student at UWA from Boddington. He is involved in several charity and community-based organisations, such as the Youth Parliament, Model UN, Crisis to Calm, Teach Learn Grow, Ronald McDonald House and more, and is particularly passionate about ensuring rural young people are provided the same opportunities as their metropolitan peers.

Lei Yuen is an 18-year-old high school graduate from the Kimberley region. Passionate about empowering the young people in her community, she has mentored and supported students in areas such as drama and all the way to being active citizens in their local community.

The ambassadors' first task will now be to work with the Ministerial Youth Advisory Council to select the theme for Youth Week WA from hundreds of submissions sent by young people across the State.

Youth Week WA will run from 16 to 23 April 2027 and recognises the incredible contributions young people make to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Western Australia.
