Wellington Police today arrested a 20-year-old man in relation to an assault on 19 June in the New World Chaffers carpark.
The man is due to appear in Wellington District Court on 29 June charged with wounding with reckless disregard.
The victim was seriously injured, and Police and his family would like to thank the public for their assistance and for the information provided.
Wellington's entertainment precinct is a place where everybody has the right to be safe and feel safe. Behaviour which causes people to feel unsafe or puts them at risk will not be tolerated, and those responsible for violence and disorder will be held to account.
