Body of man located - Wentworthville

Police are appealing for information after the body of a man was located in Sydney's west today.

About 1.40pm today (Monday 9 November 2020), emergency services were called to the Cumberland Highway, Wentworthville, following reports of a concern for welfare.

Upon arrival, officers attached to Parramatta and Cumberland Police Area Command located the body of a man on the side of the road. He is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries into circumstances surrounding the death are continuing.

One north bound lane is closed on the Cumberland Highway.
