Brookfield collision

Melton Highway Patrol officers are appealing for information following a collision involving a cyclist in Brookfield this afternoon.

Investigators have been told a nine-year-old Brookfield boy was riding on the footpath along Clarkes Road about 3pm.

The boy left the footpath and went on to the road before colliding with a passing white ute.

The driver of the ute, possibly a Nissan Navara, stopped and asked if the boy was okay before driving off.

Police wish to speak to the driver of the ute or anyone who witnessed the collision.

The boy suffered minor injuries.
