CCTV released after Clyde North attempted ram raid

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are releasing CCTV footage as part of their investigation into an attempted ram raid in Clyde North last month.

Unknown offenders travelling in a green Hyundai Excel, equipped with a ramming device at the rear, attended a business in Hamersley Drive about 3.40am on 4 June.

The vehicle reversed into a roller door twice but failed to gain access to the premises and left the scene.

The Hyundai had false number plates reading "GRUMPY".

Detectives have released CCTV footage of the incident in the hope someone may recognise the vehicle.

The same car is also believed to have been involved in another attempted burglary at a business on the Princes Highway at Officer about 3.20am on 26 May.

Anyone with information that could assist police with their investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
