Child injured in Dallas collision

Police are investigating a collision between two cars in Dallas this evening.

Fawkner Highway Patrol officers understand two vehicles were travelling east on Barry Road when they collided around 5.15pm.

A 4-year-old Broadmeadows boy from one vehicle has been conveyed to hospital in a critical condition. A 7-year-old boy from the same vehicle has been conveyed to hospital for observation. The driver of this vehicle, a 36-year-old Broadmeadows woman was uninjured.

Two 4-year-old Craigieburn boys from the second vehicle are being treated for minor injuries. The 26-year-old female driver was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Investigators have spoken with several people who were in the area at the time and witnessed the collision.

The investigation remains ongoing.
