Deprivation of liberty, torture charges - Goodna

Police have charged two women after a woman was allegedly held against her will and seriously assaulted at multiple addresses in Goodna yesterday afternoon.

Police will allege a 27-year-old woman attended a Saint Albans Street address mid-morning where she was ambushed by several people before being tied up and assaulted.

It will further be alleged the woman was taken to two further addresses where the assaults continued while the woman was restrained.

A 41-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman, both from Goodna, have each been charged with deprivation of liberty, torture and five counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The pair will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

All three women are known to each other.
