A man has been arrested after police allegedly found drugs and a firearm in his car over the weekend.
About 9.10pm Monday 6 January following an investigation, police had cause to search a car on Riverview Street at Birkenhead.
It will be alleged inside the car police located an amount of methamphetamine, cash, drug equipment, ammunition and a loaded handgun.
A 25-year-old Modbury North man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with traffic controlled drug, theft of firearm, aggravated possess firearm, possess ammunition, fail to answer questions.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
