Drunk-driver charged after crash - Bondi

A man has been charged with drink driving after allegedly crashing into a guard rail in Bondi this morning.

Just after 3am (Wednesday 18 November 2020), emergency services were called to Bondi Road near Sandridge Street after reports a Chrysler sedan had crashed into a guard rail.

The driver, a 38-year-old man, allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test.

He was arrested by officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command and taken to Waverley Police Station, where he allegedly returned a breath analysis reading of 0.141.

The Riverwood man was charged with drive with middle range PCA and is due to appear before Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 15 December 2020.

The other three occupants of the vehicle – a man and two women – were taken to hospital for observation.

His licence has been suspended.
