Special Crime Squad – Serious Crime & Family Violence Team have charged a 44 year old man over a sexual assault which occurred in 2009.
In the early hours of 1 January 2009, a woman who was then aged 34 years, was given a lift home by the man (who was then aged 33 years).
During the journey, the man drove to a remote location in Henderson where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The woman received extensive injuries as a result.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, the 44 year old man of Seville Grove has been charged with:
3 x Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm; and
2 x Aggravated Sexual Penetration.
He appeared before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 26 November 2020 and will again appear on 5 January 2021.
