Man stable after being shot in leg - Maroubra

A man has undergone surgery after being found in a Maroubra home unit overnight with a gunshot to his left leg.

Emergency services were called to the unit on Marine Parade about 9.15pm (Sunday 4 July 2021), responding to reports a man had been shot.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 37-year-old man, before he was taken to St Vincent's Hospital, where he's reported to be in a stable condition.

A crime scene has been established and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
