- Nearly $1 million awarded to 15 applicants in final round of McGowan Government's $4 million CBD Revitalisation Grant Program
- Funding of up to $100,000 from the first two rounds awarded to 41 applicants
- Part of $12 million McGowan Government investment package to revitalise Perth and Northbridge
The McGowan Government's investment in revitalising the Perth CBD and Northbridge continues with a further 15 eligible businesses, property owners and not-for-profits sharing nearly $1 million of funding from the Perth CBD Revitalisation Grant Program.
The program's third and final round received 54 funding applications for events to be held by 30 June 2023 and a total of $958,540 in funding has been awarded to 15 successful applicants.
The program has attracted an estimated nearly 200,000 people into the Perth CBD and Northbridge to enjoy markets, sporting events, artistic performances and light shows.
There were 41 successful applicants in the first two funding rounds, so there is still plenty more to come as events funded through the $4 million program continue to roll out.
The State Government's investment is part of a $12 million package aimed at increasing foot traffic in the Perth CBD and Northbridge, with the intention of making the city more connected, active, and an attractive place to live, work, visit or play.
All applications are assessed against criteria of economic impact, activation and capability to deliver.

As stated by Local Government Minister John Carey:
"The McGowan Government continues to do everything we can to boost vibrancy and activity throughout the Perth CBD and Northbridge - and as part of our efforts, we're funding a $4 million CBD Revitalisation Grant Program.
"The Perth CBD and Northbridge have come alive with markets, festivals, artistic performances and light shows and recent data highlights Perth CBD office occupancy rates hitting 80 per cent of pre-COVID levels, with workers returning to the CBD faster than any other capital city.
"The 15 diverse events successful in the third and final round will continue to bring people into the city centre, helping to boost the economy and support surrounding local businesses.
"While attendance figures from the first two funding rounds are still coming in, current data received shows an estimated 200,000 people attended the first 21 activations - this is a fantastic result for our city and round three events will only bring more people in."
