Off duty police officer charged

Police have charged an off-duty police officer following a random breath test in South Perth on 15 February 2021.

The woman was stopped around 11.40am and following a preliminary breath test it was ascertained that she had consumed alcohol. She was conveyed to the Kensington Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis test which gave a reading of 0.238 grams of alcohol per 100ml of blood.

The 48-year-old Senior Constable from the State Crime Portfolio has been charged with Drove a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol and has been served a Motor Drivers Licence Disqualification Notice.

The officer has been stood down and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 10 March 2021.
