Police appeal to locate missing man at Blue Mountains 2 July

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a man missing from the Blue Mountains.

The family of Leslie Haswell, aged 84, haven't spoken to him since about 11.30am yesterday (Thursday 1 July 2021).

His family attended his home at Wentworth Falls, about 4.30pm (Thursday 1 July 2021), and when he didn't return home and was unable to be located, police were notified.

Officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command have commenced inquiries into Leslie's whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Leslie is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 180cm tall, of medium build, with balding grey hair. He could be wearing a blue jumper, dark green trousers and carrying a black backpack.

He uses a metal arm crutch to walk and is known to use the rail network to travel.
