Police arrest youth after high school stabbing at Parramatta

A teenage boy has been arrested following a stabbing at a high school in Sydney's west today.

About 8.30am (Monday 23 November 2020), emergency services were called to a high school on Macquarie Street near Charles Street, Parramatta, after reports a student had been stabbed.

The 14-year-old boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a stab wound to his back and arm, before being taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.

Officers from Parramatta City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

About 8pm today (Monday 23 November 2020), a 14-year-old boy presented to a police station where he was arrested.

Inquiries are continuing.
